What We Offer Through Our Adult Ministry
St. Paul offers two unique opportunities for weekly Bible Study. For the women, the group, known as “Women of the Afternoon” meet on Wednesday at 1:30 – 2:45pm. With the guidance of Kathy Baublis, the women not only study the Old and New Testaments but also open the afternoon study with singing. The “Bibleaires” (our singing group) have used their instruments and voices to sing in church and at the local nursing home to proclaim God’s Word. On Wednesday evenings at 6:30 – 7:30 pm, men and women gather around the table for “Table Talks.” Led by Pastor Gail, we study the Scripture readings from Sunday’s worship service. We are able to explore more deeply the meaning of these passages and how they relate to our role as Christians in our daily lives, in our congregation, in our community, and the world.
Both Bible studies offer an opportunity for Christian fellowship. Through reading and discussion, we gain a deeper understanding of our faith, and our relationship with God and with each other.
Growing in Christ
The focus of each group is studying the Scriptures, being together in fellowship with one another, and growing in our faith journey. Together we learn about the love of Christ as we talk, laugh, question and learn. We discuss how God uses ordinary people just like us – “saint and sinners” to accomplish His role on earth.
Please join us for Adult Bible study for which ever time works best for you. You can even participate in both if you like. As we gather together it is like visiting with friends for a lively discussion as we learn about the Bible and God’s message of love.
